B & B Food Services was established in 2006 with a single truck owned by restauranteur, Baldomero Barrios who went on to open a small warehouse in Lockport, Illinois to service his growing chain of Mexican restaurants. Joined by his daughter, Jennifer, in 2008, who had recently graduated from University of Illinois, the two of them grew the business into a specialty food distributor delivering daily across the Chicagoland area. As the company prospered, they outgrew their space but also recognized the gap in the market for a flexible food service facility that could service the needs of not only their restaurant customers but across the complete spectrum of food warehousing requirements. As they searched Chicago for a suitable space, they realized nothing like that existed and they needed to build their own.
